About Fiona
For over 26 years, I have worked in Computer and Internet technical support and security, helping people better understand technology and feel more confident using it safely in their everyday lives. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals with computers, mobile devices, internet services, email, networking, and online security while seeing first-hand how confusing and overwhelming technology can sometimes feel.
In addition to my Certified Network Administrator Diploma, I hold several industry-standard certifications, including:
- Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Cisco Certifications Network Administrator (CCNA)
- Certified Novel Administrator (CNA)
- A+Software & Core
- Additional technical and industry certifications
I also earned my Trainer of Adults Diploma from St. Lawrence College in 2004/2005, which strengthened my passion for adult education and effective teaching methods.
I created Seminars by Fiona because I wanted to combine my technical background with my love of teaching. My goal is to provide practical, easy-to-understand seminars that help adults feel safer, more informed, and more confident when using cell phones, computers, email, and the internet.
I understand that many adults feel uncertain about online scams, suspicious emails, privacy concerns, and protecting their personal information online. That is why I focus on creating a respectful, welcoming, and supportive learning environment where participants feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace — without fear of judgment or confusing technical jargon.
What I enjoy most is seeing participants leave a seminar feeling more empowered and confident than when they arrived, knowing they have gained practical knowledge they can use immediately in their daily lives.
